We would like to bring your
attention to the last three issues of the Key Resources for
Program Improvement Schools – September 23, 2005
– See This year, many schools, and entire districts are moving into Program
Improvement Status because they have not been able to demonstrate sufficient
improvement in accord with the No Child Left Behind Act. This means
that many principals, teachers and parents may be working hard to rapidly
gain additional knowledge about the NCLB legislation, guidelines, consequences
for insufficient improvement, the background of the Act, and examples
of schools from high risk communities that have been able to demonstrate
improvement. There is a lot of
good information that can be obtained on line.
The challenge for many is how to quickly find the sites and information
you most need. In this issue
of the E-News, we have attempted to compile a few selections that can
give a jump start to a school or district team seeking to rapidly update
