Being a parent I learned new techniques in getting more parents especially fathers to participate in their children lives and in school activities. This was a great conference and it should be offered to more parents.

I liked that a lot of the info was also provided in Spanish. That will make my work so much easier to get Spanish speaking parents involved in their children’s classrooms.

I like the location and topics discussed. I just think that a three-day conference would be more beneficial. Not having longer breaks was hard for me. There was so much information for only two days. Great materials.

(I liked the resources and implementation strategies provided. In addition (I liked) the ongoing support. Very seldom do you attend a conference where the presenters are willing to give you comprehensive guided “free” supports for implementation. Note: Please include the cartoons, they were great.

This conference was very organized and positive. I got a lot out of learning about the “Six types of Involvement? and examples given. Coming here as a school team was wonderful. I would like the training (promotional materials) to stress that coming in teams can really give your school a jump start.

The binder is filled with useful information to take back to my site. The “Six Keys and Six Types of Involvement” sheets were particularly helpful. Having the information in Spanish was great. The facility was great – free, easy parking, and easy access. To be honest, the male speaker was nice but a bit dry in his delivery. “Getting Started in Elementary” was excellent!
