Categorical Programs Coordinator

The breakout session for secondary schools had excellent ideas, practical and fun.  The “How to find funds” workshop was also great and VERY informative.

Principal

(I liked) seeking avenues to rethink PTA and other group functions – how to interface – how to recreate.  How to balance the amount of information (needed) with (the) amount of time (available).  Great job, all!

Vice Principal

I really like the flow chart and the types 1-6.  Food was great.  All the personalities of the hosts and presenters were wonderful, positive and helpful.  Please, oh please come to Sacramento.

Counselor

I liked best the part when we shared ideas on Best Practices for Parent Involvement.  I was able to get many good ideas.  I also found all the materials very useful.

District Bilingual Title I Coordinator

Excellent Conference.  Presenters were very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject.  Thank you!  I would like to obtain the hand-out materials for the second day afternoon sessions.

This is my first experience with parent involvement training and I hope to be able to implement many of these great ideas in my school and district.  Great presenters – very knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

I am walking away with SO much useful, “ready to use” information.  Maria was awesome!  We will implement her recruitment ideas immediately.  Great!  Great!  Great! Information.  All the presenters were exceptional!  Thank you!  I truly enjoyed the “interactive” nature of Day 2.

Great ideas!  All the conference (materials) were very informative.  Everything was very organized and well explained.  Handouts are very useful, but maybe next time; we can get copies of your excellent cartoons, too.

This workshop helped me understand better the importance of parent, school, community, and child involvement.  It also refreshed my memory of ideas I had used in other years but did not continue this year.  I am also really excited (about) sharing these ideas with our staff at Burbank Elementary.

So much fantastic information (that is) easy to implement.  (I) love the black line masters.  It’s often the small things (like copying, creating all materials) that keep program momentum down.  Again, (the information provided at the conference) makes it easy to implement and (materials are) in Spanish, too

Outstanding conference.  Our principal sent five of us from our site.  We are charged, excited and motivated to go back on Monday with ideas to build our plan for parent involvement.  We are so, so glad to have been here.  I’d love to do it again.  THANK YOU!!

(The workship sessions were) very clear (and) easy to understand.  I will use (the materials and information) with my parents.  Thank you.
